On May 28, at the 2026 EAC Automotive Industry Conference in Shanghai, Hardstone officially unveiled its new 55-inch Waveguide Light Field Display, showcasing its latest advances in the next-generation cockpit display technologies.
At the event, Hardstone's LCoS Waveguide AR-HUD was honored with the 2026 EAC Cockpit Innovation Award, recognizing its breakthrough innovation and outstanding user experience.
The 2026 EAC Award is a prestigious annual industry award recognizing outstanding innovations in cockpit technologies. Through a rigorous evaluation process, the award honors breakthrough technologies and solutions drive the industry's continued advancement.
Throughout the conference, Hardstone presented its latest products, including the Light Field Display 1.0, Waveguide Light Field Display 2.0, and LCoS Waveguide AR-HUD, attracting strong interest from industry partners and visitors.

Waveguide Light Field Display 2.0
The newly launched Waveguide Light Field Display 2.0 redefines the balance between compact cabin and immersive viewing.
Combining LCoS, waveguide optics, and spatial imaging technologies, the system delivers a 55-inch Full HD virtual display from a package measuring less than 1L. With a 7.5-meter virtual image distance and 10° × 4° FOV, it provides a more natural viewing experience while reducing visual fatigue and motion discomfort.
The solution also supports applications such as home entertainment, learning, and outdoor viewing, bringing immersive cinema-like experiences to multiple scenarios.
Light Field Display 1.0
Launched last year, Hardstone Light Field Display 1.0 pioneered a new generation of in-vehicle viewing with a larger screen, longer viewing distance, and more immersive experience.
Powered by a 4.5-inch TFT optical engine and spatial optics technology, it delivers a 39-inch virtual display, 1080P resolution, 3-meter viewing distance, and 16.8° × 8.6° FOV for comfortable long-distance viewing.
Its flexible deployment across seatbacks, headrests, and passenger-side positions breaks conventional installation limits, bringing more immersive and versatile entertainment experiences to the smart cockpit.
Waveguide AR-HUD
Hardstone has established a comprehensive AR-HUD technology platform covering TFT, DLP, and LCoS architectures, while continuously advancing waveguide optics technologies.
LCoS Waveguide AR-HUD delivers a 223-inch virtual display, 20-meter image distance, 2000:1 contrast ratio, and 15,000 nits brightness, ensuring outstanding visibility and immersive AR visualization.
Enabled by waveguide optics, the system achieves these capabilities within a compact 6L package, significantly improving cockpit integration efficiency while maintaining excellent optical performance.
Driven by waveguide optics and spatial imaging technologies, Hardstone is transforming in-vehicle displays from functional screens into immersive experience platforms. Through continuous innovation, the company is shaping the next generation of intelligent cockpit experiences.
